Highway Transportation
The county is situated by two interstates, two US routes, and eight state routes. The region's transportation network places the county within one day's truck drive (500 miles) of 60 percent of the U.S population. Over 900 interstate common motor freight carriers and 29 freight forwarders serve the Greater Cincinnati region.

Rail Transportation
Dearborn County's freight service is provided by two railroads, CSX and Central Railroad of Indiana. CSX is an international transportation company offering rail, containerized-shipping, intermodal transportation, and trucking and contract logistics. The company operates 21,000 route miles in 23 states, the District of Columbia, and two Canadian provinces. CSX operates 1,700 miles of track and handles 175,000 carloads of freight annually within the State of Indiana. Central Railroad of Indiana is a subsidiary of Rail America, the largest short line holding company in America. Rail America operates 43 short line and regional railroads nationwide with 8,800 miles of track in 26 states and six Canadian provinces. This company specializes in freight and bulk freight rail service, which includes dimensional shipping for large shipments.

Passenger service is provided by Amtrak through the Union Terminal in Cincinnati. Eastbound and westbound service is provided three days a week from New York to Chicago: eastbound trains leave the terminal Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday while westbound trains leave the terminal Monday, Thursday, and Saturday.
Inland Port
The Port of Cincinnati is the fifth largest inland port in the United States ranked by trip ton-miles, with 11,828,259 tons of freight passing through it in 2003. The port extends 30 miles along both sides of the Ohio River, with a maintained channel depth of 9 feet.
